The company innobir has been founded by DI Josef Preishuber-Pfluegl following 20 years as CISC Semiconductor GmbH covering NFC+RAIN RFID system design and measurement tool business and 7 years at Philips (now NXP) in NFC+RFID chip design and product management.

The company focus of innobir is on wirless technologies, in particular utilizing the experience in NFC, RAIN RFID and UWB technologies.

More than 25 years in international technology standardization complete the offer and have been honored by the IEC 1906 Award in 2011, the AIM Ted Williams Award in 2019 and the AIM Richard Dilling Award in 2023.
